The Chocolatier - Two year old Imported Silver Dapple Gypsy Cob Colt
The Chocolatier was born and bred in the UK before being purchased and exported to America in 2008 by Clononeen Farms as a foal along with his dam, Chocolate Truffles.
We would like to thank Desert Jewel Gypsy Horses in America for allowing us the opportunity to purchase this lovely young stud colt who they had imported for themselves as a breeding sire.
Our stunning young stallion arrived in Australia mid 2010 after a six year search for a Black Silver Dapple Gypsy Cob that caught our eye, we couldn't be more pleased.
The Chocolatier is a very flashy mover, along with being incredibly photogenic he is also a very sweet, affectionate and well mannered colt.
We have many hopes and dreams for this young stallion and are really looking forward to campaigning him and including him in our breeding program over the years to come.

The Colour Explained
Silver Dapple is also known as Silver Taffy or Chocolate Palomino. Underneath their gorgeous chocolate coats and silver points these horses are black (or bay), the colour gene called silver only affects black pigment and is responsible for the dazzling effects on the coat which until recently could not be tested for.
The silver gene also looks quite spectacular on bay horses.
To breed this colour you can use Chestnut or Black, giving you a black or silver black foal (Chocolatier does not carry red) If you like silver brown and bay you can put him over brown, chestnut or bay mares.
